Job Description:

The Operating Room Nurse Manager will oversee the operational management of the operating rooms, ensuring compliance with AORN Guidelines and best practices, and maintaining preparedness for regulatory surveys. This role involves leadership responsibilities, management of staff, and direct patient care in the OR.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage operating room staff and operations, ensuring adherence to KPIs including turnaround times and first case on time starts.
• Prepare for TJC and DOH surveys, focusing on regulatory compliance.
• Implement new project roll-outs and sustain compliance with established practices.
• Manage staff scheduling using UKG/Kronos/Workday systems.
• Provide direct patient care as needed in the OR.
• Serve as a resource for troubleshooting on-call issues.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in operating room leadership, preferably with trauma experience.
• Strong understanding of AORN Guidelines and evidence-based practice.
• TJC and DOH survey experience required.
• Experience managing in a collective bargaining environment.
• HRO training preferred.
• Possession of CNOR credential is preferred but not required.
