Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Operating Room is responsible for providing perioperative care for pediatric patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This role requires collaboration with the surgical team to ensure a safe and effective environment for surgical intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and implement care during surgery.
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
• Assist anesthesia with procedures and intubations in MRI or IR.
• Float to PICU and assist in NICU cases as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute OR experience; high-level experience required for those with only 2 years.
• BLS, PALS, CNOR (preferred), and WA State or compact RN license required.
• Highly preferred skills include IV starts, scrub experience, robotics, and circulating various case types.
• EMR experience with EPIC required.
• On-call required with approximately 2 weeknights and 1 weekend every 6 weeks; 30-minute response time mandated.
