Operating Room (OR) Circulator Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Operating Room Nurse plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care within the operating room setting. This position requires advanced critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and Operating Room Technicians to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Anticipate and plan for the care of patients prior to, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure the availability of necessary supplies and timely execution of surgical cases.
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families regarding surgical processes and outcomes.
• Maintain updated physician preference cards and assist with scrubbing and surgical assistance as required.
• Supervise personnel involved in patient care delivery within the operating room.

Shift Details

This position entails day shifts, typically consisting of four ten-hour workdays from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role includes rotating weekend responsibilities and requires participation in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Circulator.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS (from either AHA or American Red Cross).
• Experience with Robotics in surgical procedures is highly desired.

This position is based in a surgical facility located in a city within the state.
