Operating Room Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Nurse (RN) to join our team at a fast-paced, multispecialty surgical hospital located in a college town. The facility covers a variety of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, ENT, urology, gynecology, spine, cataracts, and general cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room.
• Assist with surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Ensure a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient status and manage anesthesia as required.

Position Details

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
• No call, weekends, or holiday shifts required.
• Longer contract lengths may be considered if necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience required.
• Strong orthopedic experience, specifically with total joints and arthroscopy cases.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Valid Kansas/Multistate nursing license.
