Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a high energy level and strong motivation, ensuring that patient care is delivered at the highest standards.

Unit Information

Your role will be in a fast-paced operating room environment with the following details:

• Number of Beds: 11 Operating Rooms, 1 Endoscopy Suite
• Number of Staff: 45 professionals, including 11 nurses and 11 technicians on day shifts
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: Various OR equipment, multiple types of orthopedic beds, 4 robotic surgical systems
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): MEDITECH

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Performing direct patient care in the operating room
• Assisting with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• Gynecology
• Trauma
• Neurosurgery
• Spine Surgery
• Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
• Bariatrics

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Required Skills:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
• Required Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Work Environment

This position is based in Corpus Christi, TX and involves a rotating schedule with weekdays and rotating weekend calls. The dress code consists of scrubs, which will be provided.
