Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Summary

A professional caregiver responsible for planning, providing, and directing patient care and education in accordance with care standards and physician orders. This role involves developing a patient-centered care plan based on comprehensive assessments, fostering therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, and collaborating with healthcare team members.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing; BSN required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care setting.
• Travel nursing experience is required.

Certifications

• Current Ohio State Board of Nursing license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.

Position Responsibilities and Expectations

• Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients, addressing safety and educational needs.
• Collaboratively develop and communicate a plan of care based on assessment data, engaging all relevant disciplines.
• Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan, modifying it based on patient reassessment.
• Ensure all documentation meets established standards and utilize appropriate tools for record-keeping.
• Assess the readiness of patients and their significant others to learn and create individualized education plans.
• Lead department or unit-based initiatives, including providing in-service education and participating in committees and task forces.
• Deliver age-appropriate care tailored to the specific population served.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines.
• Commit to providing excellent service experiences to all patients, consistently demonstrating the organization’s Standards of Performance.
