Operating Room Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Nurse (RN) for an 8-hour day contract position. This role requires immediate availability for an ASAP start.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room setting.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Assist in the preparation of operating rooms, including surgical instruments and equipment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or a multistate RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum of two completed travel contracts; first-time travelers are not eligible.
• Ability to provide proof of residence, with a requirement to live over 45 miles from the facility.

Work Schedule

The position requires 5 days of 8-hour shifts. Weekend and on-call requirements will be discussed during the interview process. Please note that the facility may cancel one shift every two weeks.

Compliance Requirements

Selected candidates will undergo a drug screening on-site as part of the hiring process.

Notes

Scrub color will be provided. Candidates are encouraged to make housing arrangements prior to their start date to avoid any potential issues.
