Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position requires a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety throughout the perioperative process. The RN will be responsible for managing both sterile and non-sterile environments in the operating room while actively coordinating patient care and workflow.

Shift Information

• Days: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (start times may vary based on cases)
• Call: 2 days a week as first or backup, and one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• No floating required

Responsibilities

• Manage sterile and non-sterile environments of the operating room.
• Coordinate patient care, safety, and workflow throughout the perioperative period.
• Circumvent and assist during surgical procedures, demonstrating confidence in circulating and first assisting.
• Provide care across a variety of surgical specialties including General, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urological, OB/GYN, Podiatry, ENT, and Plastics.

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of dedicated surgical experience.
• Strong experience in circulating roles and familiarity with scrub and first assist responsibilities.

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the hospital (green color).
• Facility consists of 8 regular beds, 2 cysto beds, 1 endo bed, and 2 C-section beds.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used: PICIS.
