Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Manager

City/State: Scranton, Pennsylvania

Shift: AM, Day shift position, with variable start times. On days when there are meetings, it may require coming in before 7am or staying after 4, depending on the meeting invites. No weekends or holidays.

Contract Length: 90 weeks

Job Description:

The Operating Room Nurse Manager will oversee the daily operations of the operating room, ensuring adherence to AORN guidelines and evidence-based practice. The role involves managing KPIs such as turnaround times and first case on-time starts, regulatory preparedness, and sustaining compliance with new project roll-outs.

Responsibilities:

• Strong understanding of current AORN Guidelines and evidenced based practice
• Leading results for KPI: Turnaround times and First case on time starts
• Managing TJC and DOH survey preparedness
• Rolling out new projects and maintaining sustained compliance
• Managing in a collective bargaining department
• Using UKG/Kronos/Workday for staff scheduling
• Providing direct care for patients in the OR
• Serving as resource for troubleshooting during on-call hours

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience
• Preferred CNOR certification
• Experience as OR leader and trauma experience
• HRO trained – ideally
