Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

General Information

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is located in Richmond, VA, on the 2 North Oncology unit.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per RN
• Staffing: 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCT) per shift and 1 Unit Secretary during day shifts
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Floating Policy: As needed

Unit Standards

To enhance patient experience, we implement the following practices:

• Use of whiteboards for patient engagement
• Bedside shift report
• Hourly safety rounds
• Use of key words during communication

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical/surgical background
• Certifications: N/A
• Advanced Skills: N/A
