Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health needs. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans, as well as collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet the psychological, social, spiritual, and developmental needs of patients.

General Duties

• Conduct assessments of patients’ physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
• Review patient history and physical assessments with patients and their families, ensuring timely completion.
• Evaluate available information provided by other healthcare team members and review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments as needed, adhering to established policies.
• Develop a comprehensive plan of care, including a discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and input from patients, families, and the health team.
• Initiate and implement care plans based on patient-specific needs and the medical plan of care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing field.
• Current nursing license.

• This is a full-time position with 12-hour night shifts.
• Weekend, holiday, and floating requirements may be needed as necessary.
