Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse will primarily work on the 3 North Long Term Observation unit, with the potential to float to other Med-Surg units, including Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and possibly the Emergency Department, if appropriately skilled and knowledgeable. This position is full-time, requiring 36 hours per week, with weekend shifts required every other week.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care on the Long Term Observation unit.
• Float to various Med-Surg units as necessary, based on patient care needs.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and assess patients’ needs effectively.
• Maintain proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) using Epic.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to patient care strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in Telemetry/Med-Surg.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory; refresher classes will not be provided.
• Ability to read telemetry and perform BCRA (Basic Cardiac Rhythm Analysis) accurately.
• Must successfully pass competency testing on the first day of employment.

Additional Information

Holiday coverage is required for this position. Call responsibilities are minimal and infrequent.
