Charge Nurse

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Charge Nurse to join our team at a Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in nursing with specialized experience in trauma care and a strong foundation in leadership skills.

Schedule

• Day Shift: 5 days a week, 0500 to 1700
• Rotating schedule and start times

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff and operations within the unit
• Ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with protocols
• Facilitate communication among healthcare team members
• Act as a resource for staff and assist with problem-solving
• Participate in staff development and training activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and related experience: Required
• Master’s Degree: Preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of charge or leadership experience: Required
• 5 years of technical experience: Preferred
• Experience with Trauma care: Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification: Required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications: Required
• EPIC experience: Required
• Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification: Preferred
