Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatal care and possess the skills necessary to provide exceptional patient care in this specialized environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonates requiring intensive medical attention.
• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions and vital signs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate and support families regarding their infants’ health and treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document care provided according to facility protocols.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or similar specialty.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Schedule and Availability

This position requires a commitment to varying shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, candidates must be able to work during major holidays, including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, as well as one minor holiday such as the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.
