Registered Nurse (RN) – Newborn Nursery/NICU

Position Overview

This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Newborn Nursery and NICU. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This role requires NICU capabilities and the ability to be on-call as needed.

Unit Information

• Location: Austin, TX
• Unit Type: Newborn Nursery/NICU
• Number of Beds: 65
• Staffing: Over 200 staff members
• Patient Ratios: Ranging from 1:1 to 4:1
• Equipment Utilized: Incubators, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, breast pumps, and more
• EMR System: Meditech and CPN

Role Requirements

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
• Preferred: 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience

• Positive attitude and adaptability in a dynamic environment

Work Schedule

The RN is expected to complete 4 weekend shifts as part of the schedule.

Dress Code

The required scrub color for this position is navy.
