ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position is for a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in the Neuro ICU. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients with neurological conditions.

Unit Information

The Neuro ICU consists of 18 beds and is staffed by a dedicated team of 45 professionals. The typical staff configuration includes a combination of Charge RNs and RNs on both day and night shifts, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Patient Ratios

• 1 RN to 2 Patients (estimated ratios, not guaranteed)

• Cardiac Monitoring
• Ventilators
• IV Pumps
• Tube Feed Pumps
• EVDs/LDs/Bolts
• Continuous EEG
• Lumbar Drain
• Arctic Sun
• Licox

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of current ICU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with the neuro patient population

Typical Procedures

• Intubations
• Central line placement
• EVD/LD placement
• Licox catheter placement
