Unit Information

Join a dynamic Maternity Care Center dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. This unit features:

• Number of Beds:
  • 9 Labor/Delivery Rooms
  • 8 Postpartum/Gynecology Rooms
  • 2 Operating Room Suites
  • 23 Wellborn Nursery
• Number of Staff: 50+
• Patient Ratios:
  • 3 Couplet Patients per Nurse
  • 1:1 for Active Labor with Pitocin/Epidural
• Type of Equipment: Corometrics
• Electronic Medical Record: Centricity Perinatal & Meditech

General Information

The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with a team consisting of:

• Director
• Manager
• Couplet Nurses
• Birth Response Nurse
• Labor and Delivery Nurses
• Scrub Tech

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing labor and delivery care
• Assisting in cesarean sections, postpartum, and newborn care
• Responding to OBED triage and inductions
• Collaboration with midwives for effective patient management

Qualifications

Mandatory qualifications include:

• OB experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP & AWHONN certifications

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience as a circulator, first assist, or scrub during cesarean sections

Additional Information

• Floating Area: Within the unit only
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided
• Weekend Requirements:
  • 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Days: Saturday/Sunday; Nights: Friday/Saturday)
• No on-call requirement for travel staff, with potential opportunities for extra shifts
