Registered Nurse – Mother Baby (Nursing)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Mother Baby care to join our team. This role is essential for providing exceptional care to new mothers and their infants in a family-centered environment.

Schedule

The position requires availability for a rotating schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays:

• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekend rotation
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve)

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Mother Baby unit, you will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to mothers and their newborns during the postpartum period.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring mother-baby couplet care and ensuring optimal health outcomes.
• Educating and supporting new parents regarding infant care and breastfeeding.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Mother Baby nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Preferred: Experience with IV starts.
