Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are looking for dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. This position requires commitment to patient care in a telemetry unit and involves working night shifts.

Position Details

• Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Based on unit needs/demands
• Holiday Requirement: Yes, 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating Requirement: Yes, RNs may float within their scope as needed

Unit Information

• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (3rd Floor)
• Number of Beds: 96
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-6
• Common Diagnoses: CHF, COPD, pneumonia, general surgical issues, stroke, cardiac conditions
• Nurse Aide to Nurse Ratios: 1:8-16
• Telemetry Monitoring: Monitor technicians available; RNs validate, read, and document telemetry strips

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS Certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), WA or Compact Nursing License
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year in telemetry
• Skills: Ability to titrate IV drips, including Heparin

Dress Code

Navy scrubs (top and bottom) are required for this position.

Orientation

Unit-specific orientation will be coordinated as part of the onboarding process, which will involve three shifts of training.
