Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical care to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients’ health status and vital signs.
• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients.
• Document patient care and responses to interventions accurately.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in unit training and orientation sessions.
• Float to other units as needed, within the scope of practice.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to work 12-hour night shifts from 1900 to 0700, with a weekend requirement of two weekends per month and holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Kansas RN license or Compact license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience with infusion medications such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem is preferred.
• Nicotine-free status is required.

Contract Length

This is a temporary position with a contract length of 13 weeks.
