Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment. The successful candidate will provide compassionate care to patients in a medical surgical unit, ensuring their health and safety while delivering high-quality nursing interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and aftercare.
• Perform assessments and document patient progress in accordance with facility policies.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients.

Shift Details

This position requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical surgical setting.
• Current certifications: NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS.
• Must have a permanent residence located more than 50 miles from the facility.
