Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a Med/Surg unit with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.

Work Environment

• Location: Within a 60-mile radius of the designated area.
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Unit Size: 14 beds

Required Qualifications

• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Experience in a rural healthcare environment is preferred, as it generally involves lower resources and patient volumes.

Role Responsibilities

• Assessment and management of a variety of common diagnoses including congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure.
• Ability to titrate medication drips as necessary, including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips; escalate concerns to a physician when necessary.
• Participate actively in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Shift & Scheduling

• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available.
• Full-time and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule.
• Holiday shifts are required. Standby and floating requirements will be determined by the nursing manager.

Orientation & Training

Unit-specific orientation will be assigned during the week of orientation, and all clinicians must be present in-state for this period, even if initial modules are conducted remotely.

Dress Code

Scrubs should be navy blue. Scrubs are not provided by the facility.
