Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse to work primarily in a Medical-Surgical Orthopedic/Neurological Unit with occasional assignments in various other Medical-Surgical units, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation as needed.

Shift Information

The Registered Nurse will work the day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other weekend required. There is no call requirement associated with this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical Orthopedic/Neurological Unit.
• Occasionally float between multiple Medical-Surgical units as required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading telemetry and provide appropriate interventions based on telemetry readings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of current or recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing experience.
• Ability to read telemetry; competency testing will be conducted on the first day of employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current proficiency in Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is mandatory; refresher classes or one-on-one assistance will not be provided.

Additional Requirements

Holiday coverage is required. The start date for those not returning as travelers within the past 9 months is November 16th.
