Travel Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Travel Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position requires adaptability to changing schedules and patient needs, with responsibilities spanning various departments, including Medical Surgical and Telemetry.

Position Details

• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Floating: Required between Med Surg and Tele departments
• Holidays: Required

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 35
• Monthly Department Volume: 810
• Types of Services Offered: Med Surg, Remote Tele, Orthopedics, Post-operative, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Respiratory
• Patient Ratio: 1:6-7; Patient Care Technicians support up to 14 patients

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Delivering patient care through a structured nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired outcomes.
• Administering medications using bedside scanning technology.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience with Cerner charting is essential.
• Must have managed Med Surg patients with remote telemetry monitoring.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Completion of at least 2 travel assignments is necessary.
