ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Evanston, IL. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), focusing on inpatient admissions from Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Neuroscience units.

Schedule

• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Every Monday
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to ICU patients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient conditions, symptoms, and vital signs, and document any changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Be the first to float to other units such as Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Neuroscience as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• Passing score on EKG Test.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Neuroscience nursing.
• New graduates are not accepted for this position.

Additional Information

This assignment is expected to last between 10 to 14 weeks, with non-billable orientation scheduled for 8 hours prior to the assignment start date. All credentials must be submitted by the Thursday before the start date.
