ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients admitted to the ICU, particularly those with Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro conditions. The position requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing and the ability to float to other units as necessary.

Schedule

• Shifts: 12-hour days
• Orientation Schedule: Every Monday
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed

Contract Length

10 to 14 weeks

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Continuously monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Float to Med/Surg/Tele units as required to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro nursing.
• Active Illinois RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Passing EKG Test certification required.
• New graduates will not be considered for this position.

Additional Information

Non-billable orientation time is 8 hours prior to the start date. Credentials must be submitted by Thursday before the start date.
