Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med-Surg unit with a focus on cardiac care. The ideal candidate must possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 30
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Staffing Description:
  • 6 nurses per shift with a dedicated charge nurse.
  • Unit secretary on dayshift.
  • 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) per shift.
• Cardiac Medications:
  • Titrated: Cardizem, Heparin
  • Non-titratable: Dopamine, Dobutamine, Amiodarone
• Equipment: GE telemetry, Rover, portable WOWs, Welch-Allen VS machine.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Floating Policy: Rotation with other travel nurses.

Scheduling Requirements

Candidates are required to work three full 12-hour shifts with 3-4 weekend shifts within a 4-week scheduling period.

Patient Experience Requirements

Candidates should be familiar with NRC standards for patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in Med-Surg nursing.
• Knowledge of cardiac medications and telemetry.
• Certified in ACLS, BLS, and EKG/cardiac rhythm identification.
• Advanced skills in ACLS are required.

Dress Code

Required uniform: Navy blue scrubs.
