Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a robust background in orthopedic care to join our team.

General Information

• Unit Name: 5 East Ortho/Spine
• Number of Beds: 26
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Unit Staffing: Includes a unit secretary, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and a navigator.
• Type of Equipment: Coolers, walkers, Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs), Continuous Passive Motion machines (CPMs)
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Weekend Shift Requirement: 4 shifts per schedule
• Floating Policy: Rotation among units
• Patient Experience Target: 72%

Advanced Skills Required

• Strong clinical skills in orthopedic and spine care
• Experience with procedures such as knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries

Qualifications

• Required Licensure: Current RN License
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant setting
• Essential Qualities: Compassion, teamwork, and effective communication skills

Dress Code

Mandatory uniform: Navy scrubs.
