Shift: 12H Day/Night Rotate 6:45am-7:15pm, and 6:45pm-7:15am. Every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description:

Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit working with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5 along with CNA support. Must possess experience in Emergency Room to float between MedSurg and ER. Responsibilities include admission, discharge, and transfer of patients, medication titration, and participation in Code situations.

Responsibilities:

• Admit, discharge, and transfer patients
• Titrate medications and manage IVs
• Participate in codes including cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis
• Read and document EKG strips
• Respond to traumas and emergencies
• Utilize Meditech EMR for charting

Requirements:

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Experience in Emergency Department settings
• Comfortable working independently with minimal staff
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in reading telemonitor strips, using Mindray monitors
