Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a strong background in orthopedic care to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, teamwork, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Unit Information

• Unit Name: 5 East Ortho/Spine
• Number of Beds: 26
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Unit Staffing Description: Available support includes a unit secretary, patient care technicians (PCTs), and a navigator.
• Type of Equipment: Coolers, walkers, sequential compression devices (SCDs), and continuous passive motion (CPM) machines.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per schedule.
• Floating Policy: Rotation among units as needed.
• Patient Experience Requirement: Achieve a minimum of 72% satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in orthopedic nursing.
• Advanced Skills Needed: Experience in knee and hip replacements, as well as multi-level spine surgeries.
• Certifications Required: Active RN License.

Dress Code

Required uniform: Navy scrubs.
