Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 30
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Unit Staffing Description: Includes Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretary, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Case Management.
• Type of Equipment: Walkers, IV pumps, Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs), etc.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule; participates in holiday rotation.
• Floating Policy: Staff may float in rotation with other departments.
• Patient Experience Requirements: Achieve a patient experience rating of 72% through effective use of communication boards.

Qualifications

• Required Skills: RN license, teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Advanced Skills Needed: Medical-Surgical experience including management of various respiratory diseases, renal disease, gastrointestinal illnesses, telemetry, central venous catheters (CVCs), indwelling catheters, and heparin infusions.
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).

Dress Code

Required uniform: Navy Blue Scrubs
