Travel RN – Med Surg

Position Overview

This travel position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical care. The role requires flexibility and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 30
• Staff: 31.2 FTE
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Equipment: Spine & Ortho braces
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

Typical Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and develop nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes
• Assist with various surgical procedures including:
• Total Knee Replacements
• Laminectomies
• VP Shunt Revisions
• Spinal Fusions
• Total Hip Replacements
• Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF)
• Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF)

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Experience with Meditech
• Preferred Skills:
  • Certified in a relevant specialty
  • Background in Spine and Orthopedic nursing

Certifications

• BLS Certification required

Work Schedule

• 4 weekends in a 4-week period

Scrubs must be royal blue in color.
