Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

This position is for a Med Surg unit comprising:

• Number of Beds: 30
• Staffing: 31.2 FTE
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Equipment: Spine and Orthopedic braces
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

Shift Information

The position will require flexibility as staffing may vary based on patient census:

• Day Shift: Staffing includes charge nurse, several RNs, CNAs, and sitters
• Night Shift: Dependent on census

Typical Procedures

Common procedures performed in the unit include:

• Total Knee Replacements
• Laminectomy
• VP Shunt Revision
• Spinal Fusions
• Total Hip Replacements
• Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF)
• Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF)

Desired Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following skills and certifications:

• Required: Meditech experience
• Preferred: Certification in relevant field, background in spine and/or orthopedic procedures

• Strong teamwork skills

Certifications Required

All candidates must hold:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Additional Information

Weekends will be required as part of the schedule, with an expectation of working 4 weekends in a 4-week period.

Dress Code

Attire consists of royal blue scrubs.
