The medical-surgical unit focuses on a diverse patient population and provides skilled nursing care. The unit environment promotes collaboration and efficiency among team members.

• Number of Beds: 40
• Number of Staff: 40 employees
• Patient Ratios: 1:6

Shift Information

This position involves night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Equipment and Technology

The unit is equipped with:

• Wound vacs
• Kangaroo pumps
• Telemetry monitoring

Qualifications

Required:

• At least 1 year of current hospital medical/surgical experience
• BLS certification

Preferred:

• Experience managing a patient load of at least 6 patients
• Strong time management skills

Common Procedures

Some typical procedures performed on the unit include:

• Wound care
• CIWA assessments
• Heparin drips
