Unit: 7 North-Spine

Location: Englewood, CO

Floor: 8 Tower

General Information:

• Number of Beds: 18-20
• Number of Staff: 35
• Staffing Breakdown:
  • Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, 1-3 PCTs
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 1 LPN, 1-2 PCTs
• Patient Ratios: 6:1 with LPN assistance
• Type of Equipment: Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacs, PCA pumps
• Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care hospital Med/Surg experience
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Burn Care
• Experience in Wound Care and Ostomy Care
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities

Typical procedures performed on this unit include:

• Wound and dressing care for post-operative burn and flap patients
