Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing both direct and indirect care to patients.

Units Information

• 3 East: A specialized 31-bed unit dedicated to residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia, focusing on tailored care through effective verbal and non-verbal communication techniques. This unit emphasizes understanding the unique behaviors of these residents, ensuring their needs are met in a home-like environment.
• Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: This 42-bed unit offers short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to patients recovering from various conditions such as fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short-term ailments. Nursing services include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
• 3 West: A 42-bed long-term care unit that provides essential care for residents requiring long-term placement in a supportive and homely setting.

Job Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Valid State of Maine or compact RN license required.
• Experience: 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred.
• Other Skills:
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other care providers.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts 24/7 and float to other units as necessary.

Shift Information

This position requires night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM and holiday coverage as needed.

Certifications / Requirements

BLS/BCLS certification is required.
