Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Labor/Delivery (L&D) unit will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in our birthing center. This role requires experience in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Attend deliveries independently and assist in circulating during C-sections.
• Assist with the delivery and transitioning of newborns.
• Titration of drips such as Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin.
• Function in postpartum care with competency in routine mom and baby tasks.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including OBGYNs and anesthesiologists, in providing patient care.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience; consideration for 1 year if multiple travel assignments completed.
• Comfort with AWHONN guideline ratios: 1:2 for L&D; 1:3-4 for couplets.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and preferably intermediate or advanced FHM.
• Must not be a first-time traveler.
