Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN)

General Information

We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced maternity unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients throughout the labor and delivery process.

Unit Specifics

• 15 Labor Delivery Recovery (LDR) rooms
• 3 OB triage rooms
• 3 Operating Rooms (ORs)
• 4-bay Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• 4 antepartum rooms
• Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Documentation System

• Meditech
• CPN

Scheduling Requirements

Shifts available include 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM.

Floating Policy

Staff may float within the women’s and children’s service line as needed.

Patient Experience Requirements

• Experience in labor and delivery
• Ability to circulate during cesarean sections
• Administration of IV drips such as magnesium sulfate
• Experience with high acuity cases

Advanced Skills Needed

• Experience with a fast-paced labor and delivery unit
• Experience in scrub and circulating roles in the OR is beneficial

• Cesarean sections
• Epidurals
• Spinals
• Cerclage
• External version

Certifications Required

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate

Dress Code

The facility provides scrubs for nursing staff.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a labor and delivery setting is required.
