Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our family-centered maternity unit, which is committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth experience. This role involves delivering high-quality antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care while promoting patient safety, education, and positive birth experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care for patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff.
• Support the physical, emotional, and educational needs of families.
• Float to Labor & Delivery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as needed.

Work Schedule

• Availability for at least 1-2 weekends per month.
• No holiday shifts required.

Unit Information

• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:3 (may vary based on circumstances).
• Total unit size: 32 beds.
• Serves a diverse urban population across various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Experience in postpartum care, baby care, and antepartum monitoring is essential.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Fetal monitoring experience is necessary (certificate not required).
