Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor and Delivery unit. This position encompasses care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery settings. The unit consists of a 9 bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with a dedicated operating room suite and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), as well as a 3 bed Nursery.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Assist with patient recovery and newborn care in the postpartum period.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including OB/Gyn, Family Medicine Obstetricians, Family Medicine Residents, and Certified Nurse Midwives.
• Participate in the care of a diverse patient population, with an average of 35 deliveries per month.
• Manage outpatient and OB emergency department cases with an average monthly volume of 100 encounters.

Qualifications

• Must possess previous labor delivery experience.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, Stable, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required.
• C-section circulator experience is preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically TruBridge.

Work Environment

Scrubs will be provided for the OB unit, and staff are expected to adhere to the unit’s dress code.
