Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent patient care in a high-paced labor and delivery environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 14 labor beds, 2 OR, 6 recovery bays, 8 antepartum beds
• Staffing: 40 staff members
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 for labor, 1:4 for antepartum
• Equipment: GE EFM, CPN
• EMR: Meditech/Centricity Perinatal

Typical Responsibilities

• Assist in vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Implement bilateral tubal ligations and dilation and curettage (D&C)
• Administer uterine tamponade devices
• Manage magnesium and Pitocin drips, including titration

Qualifications

• Must Have:
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Experience in labor management
• Preferred:
  • Able to circulate in Labor & Delivery OR

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Intermittent Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)

Floating Areas

• Antepartum
• Postpartum (OB assignment only)

Work Schedule

This position requires rotating weekends.

Dress Code

Scrubs in royal blue are required.
