Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases for Labor and Delivery patients. This role emphasizes the application of the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act guidelines and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment to plan and deliver safe, effective patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience level of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to personnel engaged in patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of prior travel nursing experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, or Mother/Baby care.
• Flexible to float to other units based on the facility’s needs.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP.
• PALS certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of starting.
• AWHONN certification is preferred and can be completed onsite.
• AHCA certification is required for Florida placements.

Work Schedule

This position typically requires day shifts, operating from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Additional Information

Those with pending state licenses may be considered for this role. Prior candidates who have previously worked in this setting may also be eligible for rehire.
