Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of prior travel experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, nursery, or Mother/Baby care.
• Must be flexible to float to other units as facility needs require.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP required.
• PALS certification is required but may be obtained within 30 days of the start date.
• AWHONN certification is preferred and can possibly be completed onsite.
• AHCA background check is required for Florida placements.

Work Schedule

This position is for day shifts, typically from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Service area includes multiple locations in the state of Florida.
