Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to Labor and Delivery patients throughout various phases of obstetrical care, including antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal care. This role requires adherence to the Nursing Process and compliance with state regulations and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking skills and scientific judgement to ensure safe delivery of care.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
• Delegate patient care tasks based on the education and experience of the available nursing staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel in delivering patient care.
• Float to other units as needed based on facility requirements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of prior travel nursing experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby units.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• PALS certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• AWHONN certification is preferred and can be completed onsite.
• AHCA clearance is required for placements in Florida.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Position located in Lower Keys, Florida.

• Applicants must be flexible to float to various units as facility needs dictate.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
