Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in Labor & Delivery, antepartum care, and postpartum support, demonstrating a commitment to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform cervical exams, manage antepartum care, and assist during labor.
• Administer amnio infusions, epidurals, and monitor fetal heart rates.
• Insert IVs and administer Pitocin as needed.
• Circulate during C-sections and assist in baby catching/receiving.
• Conduct APGAR assessments and provide breastfeeding education.
• Ensure comprehensive postpartum care from transition to discharge for both mother and baby.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Strong competence in performing required nursing skills and procedures.
• Certifications in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring.
• Experience with Epic EMR is strongly preferred.
• Multilingual skills, especially in Russian and Spanish, are preferred.

Unit Information

Our facility includes a total of 20 beds; 12 in Labor & Delivery and 8 in Postpartum/AP. There are also 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 6-bed Level II NICU available.

Additional Information

• No call required.
• Teal scrubs will be provided for all staff.
• Scrub experience is a bonus, though a Scrub Tech will always be present on site.
