Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-risk OB care and be committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Labor and Delivery/OBED
• Location: Arlington, TX
• Number of Beds: 23
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 2 CST, 3 OR, 3 RNs, 1 Sec
  • Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 1 CST, 1 Sec
• On Call Requirement: 1 shift every 4 weeks
• Floating Requirement: Within women’s unit (Postpartum/Antepartum)

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • 1 year travel experience in high-risk OB Labor and Delivery
  • Current certifications in NRP, intermediate fetal monitoring, ACLS, and BLS
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in OBED
  • High-risk and high-volume care experience

Typical Procedures Performed

• Management of high-risk obstetrics, including magnesium and insulin drips
• Circulating and scrubbing duties in the surgical environment

Schedule and Time Off

This position will start on a Tuesday. Any requested time off must be approved by the facility, and candidates must work three shifts those weeks, as well as two major winter holidays and one minor winter holiday.
