Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialization in Labor and Delivery. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care in various capacities, including labor, postpartum, couplet care, and triage within a busy LDRP unit.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP, with potential start dates on 9/14, 9/28, or 10/12
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• Holiday Requirements: As needed by the unit
• Floating Requirements: Will float to all departments as necessary
• Time Off: Up to 14 days of time off may be requested, including a maximum of 4 weekend shifts

Unit Information

The unit comprises 17 beds and handles approximately 80 deliveries per month. RNs will work in various capacities across labor, postpartum, couplet care, and triage settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience in a hospital setting, along with travel experience.
• Preferred: 5+ years of RN experience.
• Must have recent experience with postpartum, couplet care, and circulating for C-Sections.
• Applicable state license (AK), BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications are required. Candidates without active licensure in AK at the time of submission must begin the application process within 24 hours of acceptance.

Additional Information

Free housing is provided for one occupant. Please note that pet units are not available. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles outside of Fairbanks.
