Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Overview

The position is located in a Labor and Delivery unit that features 10 beds for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP). The unit includes a Special Care Nursery Level II, ensuring high-quality care for both mothers and newborns. Staffing ratios are as follows:

• Active Labor: 1:1 patient care
• Postpartum Couplet Care: 3:1 patient care
• Latent Labor: 2:1 patient care

Position Requirements

• Must be willing to work 12-hour night shifts
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirements: Every other holiday
• Float requirements to other units including MS4, ICU, ER, and Skilled Nursing

Qualifications

Education and certifications required for this position include:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Fetal Monitoring certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire)

Employees must adhere to specific appearance standards, which include:

• Keeping jewelry to a minimum
• Avoiding visible face and body piercings, with exceptions for traditional ear piercings and small nose studs
