Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) to join our team. This exciting opportunity allows you to work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment, providing specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures.
• Oversee post-procedure recovery, including in the PACU and extended stay areas (23-hour recovery).
• Participate as an essential member of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Utilize critical thinking and strong communication skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience with telemetry.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.

Additional Requirements

Compliance with infection prevention measures is required, which includes wearing hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops in procedural areas when applicable.
