Job Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our ICU float team, where you will be responsible for providing care across various ICUs within Zone 1, covering facilities such as Penrose Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center, among others. This role requires flexibility, as RNs will be expected to float and assist where needed, adapting to different ICU types and patient populations within a 60-mile radius from Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a combination of ICUs, including MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU, etc.
• Manage and titrate critical drips such as pressors, sedation, paralytics, and others.
• Assist with respiratory needs, including operating equipment like vents, Cpap, and BiPap.
• Read and interpret telemetry without the support of monitor techs.
• Participate in flexible scheduling to cover gaps in permanent staff scheduling and adhere to weekend and holiday requirements.
• Adhere to float rotation assignments across designated facilities in Zone 1.

Requirements:

• Must have 2 years of ICU experience; 3+ years plus Epic experience required for first-time travelers.
• Comfortable with titrating all critical drips and managing various respiratory equipment.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Ability to float to different ICU levels within Zone 1 facilities.
• Current nursing license in the state of Colorado, submission of a valid Driver’s License, and ability to travel within a 60-mile radius.
